Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Personaly ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform at personaly.app.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, password (hashed), full name, and username. If you sign up with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from those providers.

Profile and Content

Professionals provide profile information including name, bio, avatar, service descriptions, pricing, availability, and custom page content. This information is displayed publicly on your Personaly page.

Booking Data

When clients book services, we collect the client's name, email, selected service, appointment time, and any intake form responses. This data is shared with the professional who is being booked.

Calendar Integration

If you connect Google Calendar, we receive an OAuth token that allows us to read your availability and create calendar events for bookings. We do not store the contents of your existing calendar events — only free/busy status.

Usage Data

We collect page views and link clicks to provide analytics to professionals. This data is anonymized and does not identify individual visitors.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Service
  • To display your public profile and service pages
  • To facilitate bookings between professionals and clients
  • To sync appointments with your connected calendar
  • To send booking confirmations and reminders via email
  • To provide profile analytics (page views, clicks)
  • To communicate important service updates

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Personaly:

  • Supabase— Database hosting, authentication, and file storage (EU-hosted)
  • Google Calendar API— Calendar integration for availability and event creation (when connected by the user)
  • Resend— Transactional email delivery (booking confirmations, password resets)
  • Vercel— Application hosting and deployment

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data required for each service to function.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, content, and associated booking data within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data (page views, click counts) may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to individuals.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or a jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access— Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification— Correct inaccurate or incomplete data via your account settings
  • Deletion— Delete your account and all associated data from your account settings
  • Data Portability— Export your data in a machine-readable format from your account settings
  • Restriction— Request that we limit processing of your data
  • Objection— Object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise these rights, use the options in your account settings or contact us at hello@personaly.app. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

Personaly uses essential cookies only — specifically, session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted database connections, hashed passwords, and Row Level Security policies that ensure users can only access their own data.

8. Children

Personaly is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
